The Governors of our School come from all walks of life – from parents of children in the school and members of the community, who want to give something to the school. All give their time,free of charge, endeavouring to ensure that your child’s education is the best it can be.
The Governing Body carry out their responsibilities by setting targets,challenging the way things are done and by adopting and checking that relevant policies are being implemented. Regular meetings take place together with the Headteacher. The full Governing Body meets twice each term, but because the running of a school is a complex issue, the Governing Body is split up into a number of sub-committees and/or working parties. These include: Education and Standards, Finance, Pay and Personnel, Premises, Health and Safety and Performance Management.

Governor Roles & Responsibilities
The management of Brill C of E School is the responsibility of the governors who are appointed as Directors of the Academy Trust and are accountable for their actions under:
* The Companies Act 2006 and other related legislation;
* The Charities Act;
* The Articles of the Academy and the Funding Agreement.
* to act within powers
* to promote the success of the school
* to exercise independent judgement
* to exercise reasonable care , skill & diligence
* to avoid conflicts of interest
* not to accept benefits from third parties
* to declare interest in proposed transaction or arrangement with the school
Our academy funding agreement with the DFE also requires our governing body to publish the following reports annually:
