Headteacher's welcome

Thank you for visiting our website; on behalf of the, staff, pupils and governors of Brill Church of England School I extend a warm welcome.

We hope this site gives you a flavour of life at Brill and that it provides useful information about all areas of school life.

As a Church of England School, our links with the local community are of great importance to us. We aim to serve that community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian values, belief and practice. We also welcome those of all religious denomination, and those with no religious beliefs. We began a new an exciting chapter in the history of our school when on April 1st of this year we became an academy.

Both inside the classroom and outdoors, we have developed an exciting and relevant curriculum through excellent teaching and an innovative approach. Pupils from all backgrounds are encouraged and nurtured to achieve their potential in all areas of the curriculum – our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team takes every opportunity to broaden creativity and self esteem. We strive to provide a school in which everyone feels secure, knowing that they matter and are cared for, we aim to enable everyone in school to have the skills and knowledge to “Aim High”

"The promotion of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is at the heart of the school. The curriculum includes a wide range of activities including a Forest School, sport, music, modern foreign languages and educational visits that contribute to the development of pupils’ skills in reading, writing, communication and mathematics." - Ofsted 2012

Working together with our onsite partners we are able to offer not only an enriched curriculum, but “wrap around care” as well: Our pupils have the opportunity to attend breakfast and afterschool clubs as well as a fantastic array of extracurricular activities in area as diverse as  music, dance, sport, cooking and computing.

We place a great deal of emphasis on our partnerships with parents too and there will be many opportunities for you to make a significant contribution to life at our school.

This website and our prospectus serves as a brief introduction to our school; we hope you find it an informative guide to our aims, organisation and curriculum. If you like our website, you’ll love our school.  Please ring for an appointment to come and look round, we’d be delighted to meet you.
